Mixed Methods Research and Significance of Its Application in the Field of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Mixed methods research(MMR) is the research paradigm that organically integrates qualitative research and quantitative research. Its common design types include interpretive design
triangular mutual authentication design
exploratory design
nested design
sequential conversion design and parallel conversion design. On the basis of introducing MMR and summarizing the advantages and limitations of MMR
it is considered that the MMR can promote the improvement of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) research methodological quality and optimization of evaluation tools
enriching the content of TCM clinical efficacy evaluation
meanwhile
the authors proposed research design ideas and the recommendations for MMR applied in the field of TCM
with a view to providing methodological references and references in the field of TCM research.
