Combining Traditional Culture with Modern Civilization to Enhance Cultural Consciousness
From traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) rooting in Chinese traditional culture and playing a role in dealing with the challenges of contemporary health and medical problems
this paper stated that TCM should continue to improve the cultural consciousness level and ability of TCM practitioners on the basis of maintaining its own characteristics and exerting its unique advantages. The cultural consciousness of TCM practitioners must firstly understand the excellent traditional culture
philosophy and history of the Chinese nation
knowing its advantages and disadvantages
and at the same time understand the development of contemporary civilization and great science
so that TCM can adapt to the needs and challenges of the times. The development of TCM should not only adhere to the national medical culture
but also take the initiative and followed by others. Meanwhile
it should actively absorb the modern civilizations from outside
