and type of disease of the study subject. The data were expressed as percentages. Results A total of 116 papers were included
of which 23 were Chinese and 93 were English. The research contents included 6 types such as patients′ willingness to treat
willingness to seek medical treatment
treatment satisfaction
self-management
clinical decision-making
and patient-centeredness
and 4 types of TCM intervention measures including Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture were researched. The study subjects were mainly composed of patients with unlimited disease types. Design types included quantitative research
qualitative research
and mixed research designs. Existing research took patient values and preferences as part of research
such as improving clinical research design
formulating clinical practice guidelines
and forming core index sets. Conclusion The status of TCM patients′ values and preferences in clinical research has gradually been paid more attention. At present
the treatment content of patients with chronic diseases is the main research content
and cross-sectional and qualitative research are mostly used. Existing research has a vague concept of patient values and preferences
and lacks scientific research assessment tools. Therefore
