Clinical Observation on Yinqiao Powder (银翘散) in Different Decocting Time for Treating 74 Cases of Influenza with Pathogen in Lung-Defense Syndrome
Objective To observe clinical effects of Yinqiao Powder(银翘散) in different decocting time on the patients of influenza with pathogen in lung-defense syndrome. Methods A total of 110 cases of patients of influenza with pathogen in lung-defense syndrome were randomly divided into 6-minute group of 38 cases
12-minute group of 36 cases and control group of 36 cases. The 6-minute group and 12-minute group were given Yinqiao Powder boiling for 6 minutes and 12 minutes respectively
once every 4 hours
3 times during day-time and once at night. The control group was given oseltamivir phosphate capsule
75 mg each time
twice a day. The treatment course was 5 days for all groups. The onset time and recovery time of body temperature of each group
and the changes of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptom scores before and after treatment were compared. Results The start time of fever reduction and recovery time of body temperature of patients in the 6-minute group and 12-minute group were significantly shorter than those in the control group
and changes in the 6-minute group was more significant than the 12-minute group(P<0.05). After treatment
the scores of symptoms in all groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05)
the scores of symptoms in 6-minute group and 12-minute group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05)
and the scores of symptoms in 6-minute group were lower than those in the 12-minute group(P<0.05). The therapeutic effects of diseases and syndromes of 6-minute group and 12-minute group were significantly supperior to that of the control group(P<0.05)
and the therapeutic effects of the 6-minute group were significantly supperior to that of the 12-minute group(P<0.05). Conclusion Yinqiao Powder boiling for 6 minutes were better than 12 minutes after boiling for influenza in lung-defense syndrome in the temperature changes
