JIA Yingjie′s Experience in Treating Advanced Prostate Cancer
JIA Yingjie′s experience in treating advanced prostate cancer is summarized. It is believed that kidney deficiency is an internal factor for the development of prostate cancer
and its incidence is closely related to the spleen and the kidney. However
some Chinese medicines for tonifying kidney contain androgen-like substances that may promote the progress of prostate cancer. Therefore
combining the characteristics of prostate cancer pathogenesis and the contradiction of clinical treatment
viewpoint "Supplementing the kidney is no better than tonifying the spleen
and tonifying the spleen is for supplementing the kidney" is put forward. With this view as a guide
clinical treatment is based on the different pathological characteristics of advanced prostate cancer at different stages. It is closely linked to the core pathogenesis. The core pathogenesis in the hormone-sensitive phase is qi deficiency and toxin stasis
and the main treatment methods are to invigorate spleen and benefit qi
to remove toxicity and to dispel stasis. The core pathogenesis of castration resistance stage is spleen deficiency and dampness disturbance
qi deficiency and toxin stasis
with tonifying spleen and promoting durilis
removing toxicity and dispelling stasis as the main treatment.
