Clinical Observation on Modified Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Danshen Yin(小陷胸汤合丹参饮) in the Treatment of 40 Cases of Stable Angina Pectoris Complicated with H Type Hypertension with Syndrome of Intermin-gled Phlegm and Blood Stasis
Objective To observe the clinical effects of modified Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Danshen Drink(小陷胸汤合丹参饮) in the treatment of stable angina pectoris(SAP) with H type hypertension with syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis. Method A total of 80 patients were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group
with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine therapy for anti angina and hypotension. The treatment group was treated with modified Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Danshen Drink on the basis of the control group. The treatment course was 28 days. Scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome
the occurrence of angina pectoris
the use of nitroglycerin
blood pressure
and level of homocysteine(Hcy) were recorded before and after treatment. After treatment
the efficacy of TCM syndromes and the efficacy of electrocardiogram were evaluated. Results Comparing the efficacy of TCM syndromes between the 2 groups
the total effective rate of the treatment group(90.00%) was higher than that of the control group(72.50%)(P<0.05); the ECG curative effect comparison showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group(65.00%) was higher than that of the control group(40.00%)(P<0.05). The scores of TCM syndromes in btoh groups were significantly reduced on the 21 st and 28 th days of treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05)
and the scores of the treatment group on the 28 th were significantly lower than on 7 th days(P<0.05). On the 21 st and 28 th days of treatment
the scores of TCM syndromes in the treatment group were significantly reduced at the same time as compared with the control group(P<0.05). The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of both groups were significantly reduced on the 14 th
21 st
and 28 th day of treatment(P<0.05)
and the blood pressure of the treatment group was significantly lower on the 28 th day compared with that on the 7 th day and the 14 th day(P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the blood pressure on 28 th day and on the 21 st day in the treatment group(P>0.05). The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of the treatment group on the 14 th
21 st
and 28 th day was significantly decreased compared with that of the control group at the same time(P<0.05). After treatment
the number of episodes of angina pectoris in both groups was reduced
the duration was shortened
and the consumption of nitroglycerin was significantly reduced(P<0.05)
and the indicators in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment
the blood Hcy of both groups of patients decreased(P<0.05)
and the decrease in the treatment group was more significant than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Modified Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Danshen Drink can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of SAP with H type hypertension
regulate blood pressure level
reduce the occurrence of angina and reduce Hcy level.
