The Origin of the Logical Thinking Culture in The Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor (《黄帝内经》)
and analogy are all important concepts related to logical thinking
laying the foundation of Chinese ancient nomology
and acting as the core of the logic thinking culture in The Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor(《黄帝内经》)(abbreviated as Inner Classic). When exploring the roots of logistic thinking in Inner Classic from the perspective of pre-Qin culture
reality is considered as the primary character while name is the secondary character
which reflects the reality and change with it; this thought is mainly influenced by Mohist and Jixia School′s deep understanding of the relationship between name and reality. Regarding the issue of similarities and differences
the Inner Classic does not one-sidedly emphasize the same or the different characteristic
but believes that the relationship between the same and the different should be recognized dialectically
which is basically consistent with the viewpoints of the Mohist school and the famous philosopher Hui Shi. In terms of the analogy method
the Inner Classic is consistent with the Mohist school and Xunzi′s emphasis on generalizing categories through practical experience
but different with Mencius′s claim to stipulate the categories in a priori before experience.
