Professor XIAO Chengzong′s Experience in Treating Postpartum Hypogalactia with the Principle of “Supplementing the Source of the Production,Unblocking and Draining”
This paper summarizes the clinical experience and medication characteristics of Professor XIAO Chengzong in treating postpartum hypogalactia. It is believed that weakness of the spleen and stomach
depletion of qi and blood
and liver constraint and qi stagnation are the main pathogenesis of postpartum hypogalactia
and "deficiency" and "constraint" are often combined. In clinical practice
spleen
stomach and liver are of major concerns; "supplementing the source of the production
unblocking and draining" is taken as the main treatment principle; Jiawei Gushen Zengru Decoction(加味谷神增乳汤) is recommended as the basic formula and can be modified based on syndrome differentiation.
