BAI Changchuan's Experience in Treatment of Cholestatic Liver Disease from the Theory of“Collateral Stasis”
This paper summarized BAI Changchuan's experience in treating cholestatic liver disease from the perspective of “collateral stasis”. Based on YE Gui's theory of collateral disease, it is considered that capillaries are similar to collaterals, and cholestasis is related to blood stasis, thereby proposing that cholestatic liver disease should be treated from “collateral stasis” and by stages. To unblock the collaterals, at the early stage, it is advised to dispel stasis and unblock the collaterals, clear heat and drain dampness, by using insect medicine to seek and weed out the collateral pathogen, and combining with acrid and moistening medicinals to enter into the liver and unlock the collaterals; at the middle stage, it is important to drain dampness, remove turbidity and unblock the collaterals, and to care
