Risk Factors for Major Adverse Cadiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events in Elderly Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Stable Angina Pectoris: A Real-world Study
To explore the risk factors for major adverse cadiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in real world elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus and stable angina pectoris (T2DM-SAP) patients.
Methods
2
Based on the clinical scientific research information sharing system established in the previous stage, case data of the elderly (≥60 years old) T2DM-SAP patients including age, gender, body mass index (BMI), course of disease, main medical history, laboratory examination, tougue manifestation, pulse manifestation, traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and medication were retrospectively collected from January 2012 to December 2019, and the MACCE outcome was followed up from January 18 to February 6, 2020. Cox proportional hazard regression model was used to analyze the correlation between the collected clinical data and the occurrence of MACCE.
Results
2
Finally, 502 patients with T2DM-SAP aged ≥60 years old were included, with 300 cases of MACCE. Cox proportional hazard regression model analysis showed that the occurrence of MACCE was positively correlated to age (75-85 years old,
= 0.042), internal accumulation of damp-heat and blood stasis obstructing the collaterals syndrome (
HR
= 1.960,
P
= 0.019), cracked tongue (
HR
= 9.333,
P
= 0.002), while negatively correlated to surging pulse (
HR
= 0.798,
P
= 0.015) and excess pulse (
HR
= 0.586,
P
= 0.004).
Conclusion
2
Age (75-85 years old), hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, internal accumulation of damp-heat and blood stasis obstructing the collaterals syndrome and cracked tongue may be the independent risk factors for MACCE in elderly patients with T2DM-SAP.
