The Development of Operation Scheme of Collateral Pricking and Bloodletting at Jing-well Points-Based on the Pattern of Multi-Dimensional Evidences
Operation Scheme of Collateral Pricking and Bloodletting at Jing
-
well Points
and to provide method reference for related researches.
Methods
2
Based on “multi-dimensional evidence”, the literature related to manipulations of collateral pricking and bloodletting at
Jing
-well points were obtained, and the original item pool was formed and information was extracted. After literature research, a questionnaire survey was carried out to obtain the experience of doctors, and the results of literature review and questionaire survey were compared to find out controversial issues. Experts consensus meeting was then held to evaluate the existing results, discuss the controversial issues, and synthesize the multi-dimensional evidence.
Results
2
A total of 109 documents in the
Traditional Chinese Medicine Book
(《中华医典》), 866 papers and 15 books were included, and an original item pool consisting of 20 items in four dimensions was formed and then adjusted to 22 items according to the actual situation. There were 130 responders for the questionnaires providing the application experience of using this therapy by modern clinicians. The controversial issues such as terminology, needling instruments, pushing and squeezing methods and times, amount of bleeding, needling depth and unit were resolved, and a consistent recommendation was formed through the consensus meeting.
Conclusion
2
The
Operation Scheme of Collateral Pricking and Bloodletting at Jing
-
well Points
is formed to standardize the terms and definitions, preparations, procedures of practice, cautions and prohibitions of collateral pricking and bloodletting at
Jing
-well points. TCM-specific evidence collection and integration method based on multi-dimensional evidence can be applied to similar studies.
