Effect of Oral Administration of Qinlian Yuyang Decoction (芩连愈疡汤) Combined with Acupoint Injection of Danshen Injection (丹参注射液)on NSAIDs-related Peptic Ulcer with Spleen and Stomach Damp-heat Syndrome:31 Cases Clinical Observation
To observe the clinical effect of oral administration of
Qinlian Yuyang Decoction
(芩连愈疡汤)combined with acupoint injection of
Danshen Injection
(丹参注射液) on non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)-related peptic ulcer (PU) with spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome.
Methods
2
A total of 66 patients with NSAIDs-related PU (spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome) were divided into treatment group and control group randomly, with 33 cases in each group. The control group was given rabeprazole orally, 20mg each time, once daily, while the treatment group was additionally given
Qinlian Yuyang Decoction,
1 dose a day, twice orally, in combination with bilateral Zusanli (ST 36)acupoint injection of
Danshen Injection
, 1mL on each side, twice a week, for 8 weeks in both groups. The PU heal under endoscopy was compared between groups after treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptom score, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) score, and self-rating depression scale (SDS) score before and after treatment were assessed and compared.
Results
2
The total effective rate regarding the ulcer heal of the treatment group was 96.8%, higher than 56.7% of the control group (
P
<0.05). After treatment, the score of each symptom and the total TCM symptom score significantly decreased in both groups (
P
<0.05), and scores of the treatment group were much lower than those of the control group (
P
<0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS in both groups significantly decreased after treatment (
P
<0.05 or
P
<0.01), and they were significantly lower in the treatment group (
P
<0.05 or
P
<0.01).
Conclusion
2
Qinlian Yuyang Decoction
combined with Zusanli (ST36) acupoint injection can significantly improve mucosal healing under gastroscopy and clinical symptoms in patients with NSAIDs-related PU with spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome, and can relieve anxiety and depression, with sound safety.
