Construction of Core Outcome Set for Diabetic Foot in Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinical Researches
To construct the core outcome set (COS) for diabetic foot in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) clinical researches, and provide scientific reference for the selection and report of related research outcomes.
Methods
2
CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase Database and Clinical Re-gistration Website were systematically searched from inception dates to April 30th 2020. The outcomes used in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and registry protocols of TCM for diabetic foot were collected. Additional outcomes were obtained through semi-structured interviews with patients and caregivers and in-depth expert interviews. The above together constituted the outcome item pool. Then Delphi questionnaire survey and consensus meeting were used to screen indicators and reach a consensus.
Results
2
A total of 72 RCTs and 12 clinical registration protocols were included. Thirty patients and caregivers and six diabetic foot specialists were interviewed. After the consolidation, the item pool included 127 potential items. Through two rounds of Delphi questionnaire survey, 34 outcome indicators were initially included, and 29 outcome indicators were finally determined through consensus meeting.
Conclusion

The COS for diabetic foot in clinical researches of TCM is preliminarily established, so as to reduce the heterogeneity of similar research and improve the comparability and correlation of measurement results in different studies in this field.
