Understanding of Tumor in Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from the Perspective of Time and Space
Time and space are the most basic attributes of things in the natural state. The ups and downs of the changes of

organs (脏腑) in the physiological state, as well as the complex signs of diseases in the pathological process are all related to time and space. Considering the characteristics and progress of tumor, and analyzing the time-space understanding of tumor in traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, this paper proposes that in traditional Chinese medicine, collaterals deficiency,
qi
knot and blood damage are the characteristic reflections of tumor time, while dysfunction of
sanjiao
(三焦) and blocking of original
qi
are the universal performance of tumor space; in western medicine, the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of tumors is a dynamic summary of different sites of tumor onset, different stages of progression, and different nodes of treatment. This study constructs a theoretical framework oriented by tumor diagnosis, prevention and prognosis based on the theory of time-space view, in order to clarify and solve the contradictory relationship between people and diseases in time and space, and provide new connotations for the comprehensive prevention and treatment of tumors.
