Discussion on the Balance Regulating Effect of Tuina for Cervical Spondylosis Based on the Pathogenesis of “Bone Dislocation, Tendons Out of Groove ”
Tuina in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is widely used in the clinical treatment of cervical spondylosis. Based on the pathogenesis that cervical spondylosis is caused by “tendon out of groove and bone dislocation”, this paper elucidated the important role of “tendon and bone balance” in maintaining the physiological function of “tendon soft and bone positive” in the cervical spine. By exploring the limited function of “bones supporting tendons, and tendons constraining bone” in the cervical spine as well as the abnormal changes in soft tissue and bone biomechanics, this study also analyzed the dominant advantages of tuina in restoring the endogenous and exogenous stability of the cervical spine under the effect of “regulating tendons” and “fine-tuning bones”, reshaping the balance of tendons and bones, which can provide reference for the clinical practice and optimization of treatment plans for cervical spondylosis.
