ZHU Lian's Inhibition Type Ⅱ Acupuncture in Treating Sequelae of Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases-Chronic Pelvic Pain based on Disease-syndrome Combined Model
The sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease-chronic pelvic pain (SPID-CPP) is a chronic disease process with accompanying symptoms such as pain and inflammation, and its pathogenesis is a deficiency-excess complex. ZHU Lian's inhibition acupuncture is performed based on modern medical diagnosis by using strong stimulating techniques to calm and relieve pain. The inhibition type II acupuncture is relatively soft and comfortable, and is suitable for SPID-CPP. This paper introduced the use of ZHU Lian's inhibition type Ⅱ acupuncture to treat SPID-CPP. It is suggested to judge the TCM syndrome pattern of pain and the severity of deficiency and excess through TCM syndrome differentiation. By regulating the three key techniques including manipulation, stimulation sites, and stimulation timing of acupuncture, adjusting the “relaxed and comfortable” needling sensation, and adding moxibustion in those with deficiency cold syndrome, both supplementing deficiency and draining excess, as well as eliminating cold and heat can be finished, so as to treat SPID-CPP as planned.
