Comparative Study on Effect of Xueshuantong Injection (lyophilized) in the Treatment of Acute Phase of Cerebral Infarction based on Real-world Data
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Xueshuantong Injection (lyophilized) in the treatment of cerebral infarction in the acute phase under the real world.
Methods
2
A retrospective cohort study was conducted to collect 883 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to 4 hospitals in Henan Province from January 1st, 2014 to April 30th, 2019. According to whether the patients were treated with Xueshuantong Injection (lyophilized), they were divided into treatment group (502 cases) and control group (381 cases). The propensity score method was used to control the confounding factors. The changes of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, and laboratory indicators including homocysteine (Hcy), C-reactive protein (CRP), platelet count (PLT), D-dimer (D-D), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen content (FIB), plasma prothrombin time (PT), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were compared between groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy, clinical symptoms or signs efficacy were evaluated.
Results
2
A total of 349 cases were matched, and the baseline of the two groups was comparable (
P
>0.05). Before matching, there were statistically significant differences in NIHSS scores and TCM syndrome scores between groups after treatment (
P
<0.05), while after matching, there was no significant difference (
P
>0.05); the changes of NIHSS score and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment was statistically significant in both groups either before or after matching (
P
<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between groups both before and after matching (
P
> 0.05). Compared to the control group, the treatment group could significantly improve the patients' hemiplegia, skin unkindness and speech astringency (
P
<0.05 or
P
<0.01); after matching, compared to that in the control group, the pulse manifestation of the patients in the treatment group was significantly improved after treatment (
P
<0.05). After matching, there were significant differences in CRP and APTT levels between groups after treatment (
P
<0.05); before and after treatment, the difference of Hcy level between groups was statistically significant (
P
<0.05 or
P
<0.01), and the treatment group was statistically significant in improving LDL-C (
P
<0.05).
Conclusion
2
Xueshuantong Injection ( lyophilized ) in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction has the clinical efficacy of improving clinical symptoms or signs, reducing inflammatory factor levels and improving coagulation function.
