Treatment of Cancer-related Fatigue based on the Theory of “Venting the Wood Constraint”
Based on the theory of “venting the wood constraint”, this paper clarifies that “wood constraint” is an important factor and the pathological basis in the occurrence and development of cancer-related fatigue (CRF). “Venting” method can be applied to the whole process of treating CRF as it is a general method to treat “wood constraint”. In addition, based on a holistic concept, this article emphasizes the importance of timely interrupting the vicious cycle of “liver constraint due to disease-disease caused by liver constraint” in CRF. By regulating cardinals, comforting the spirit and venting the constraint, calming ethereal soul and venting the spirit, finally the CRF patients are enabled to recover to a healthy state of “unity of body and spirit”, realizing the connotation of “venting the wood constraint”, and providing new ideas for the TCM treatment of CRF.
