Exploration on the the Relationship Between Tumor Microenvironment and Malignant Progression, and Microscopic Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment From the Perspective of "Turbidity Impairing Clarity and Harmony"
The theory of "turbidity impairing clarity and harmony" aligns with the pathological features of tumor microenvironment destabilization in modern medicine. It describes a core pathogenic evolution in which turbid pathogens transform into phlegm-turbidity, blood stasis, heat toxicity, and stagnation, which correspond to lipid-rich microenvironment, hypercoagulable and inflammatory microenvironment, and hypoxic microenvironment. The principle of "eliminating turbidity" becomes central to intercepting malignant prognosis of tumors. It is proposed that when center
qi
loses regulation, turbid pathogens transform into phlegm-turbidity, which should be treated by strengthening the spleen and regulating the middle to resolve phlegm-turbidity, thereby improving resistance to tumor therapies. When blood circulation is obstructed and turbid pathogens form stasis, promoting blood circulation and regulating the nutrient
qi
can disperse stasis-turbidity, inhibit angiogenesis, and prevent hematogenous metastasis. When deficient fire flares upward and heat scorches turbid pathogens into toxic turbidity, nourishing
yin
and detoxifying can clear toxic turbidity, reduce inflammatory responses, and enhance immune function. When the liver loses its coursing function and turbid pathogens stagnate into depressive turbidity, soothing the liver and relieving constraint can eliminate dep
ressive turbidity, thereby suppressing tumor growth. Modifications are applied according to different stages of disease, aiming to target the regulation of the tumor microenvironment, slow malignant progression, and provide guidance for precise syndrome differentiation and treatment of tumor-related conditions.
