HU Kaiwen's Experience in Treating Lung Cancer by Regulating Tumor Microenvironment Based on the Theory of "One Qi Circulation,Earth as Pivot to Circulate and Transform Four Elements"
This paper summarizes Professor HU Kaiwen's clinical experience in treating lung cancer by regulating tumor microenvironment based on the theory of "one
qi
circulation, earth as pivot with four elements". It is believed that the basic pathogenes
is of lung cancer is center
qi
deficiency, and obstruction of circulation, and it is advocated to supplement the center and regulate
qi
as the basic treatment. In the initial stage of lung cancer, the key pathogenesis is liver depression and lung closure, and center
qi
deficiency and damage, which commonly prescribes modified
Lichong Decoction
(理冲汤) to dissolve stasis and unblock the collaterals, supplement the center and regulate pivot; in the progressive stageof lung cancer, the key pathogenesis is lung stagnation leading to liver depression and accumulation of stasis-toxin are the core pathogenesis, with
Fuzheng Jiangzhuo Decoction
(扶正降浊汤) and
Fuzheng Huazhuo Decoction
(扶正化浊汤) to regulate
qi
and reduce turbidity, tonify primordial
qi
and drain fire; in the advanced stage, disharmony between heart and kidney and decline of center
qi
are the crucial pathogenesis, prescribing modified
