Review and Prospects of Standardization of the Discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine Spleen-Stomach Diseases
Standardization of the discipline of spleen-stomach diseases in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an important component of TCM standardization and is of great significance for transforming disciplinary strengths into sustained development. The research framework of the standard system for TCM spleen-stomach diseases serves as a key guide for advancing standardization in this field. Based on this framework, this paper systematically reviews the progress of standardization research in TCM spleen-stomach diseases from the perspectives of terminology standards for spleen-stomach diseases, expert consensus statements and clinical practice guidelines, standards for classical syndromes, expert consensus on the clinical application of commonly used Chinese patent medicines, and standards for commonly used practical specialty techniques. It is proposed that future standardization efforts should focus on strengthening the construction of the standard system for spleen-stomach diseases, enhancing research on methodological paradigms for developing various categories of standards, cultivating standardized professional talent, and fully leve-raging the role of professional societies in standardization, so as to promote the sustained and high-quality development of the discipline of TCM spleen-stomach diseases.
