Application of Rattan Herb-Pairs in Preventing and Treating Postoperative Recurrence of Bladder Cancer from the Perspective of "Latent Pathogens in Collaterals"
Based on the review of modern studies and combined with clinical practice, it is considered that "latent pathogens in collaterals" is the main pathogenesis of postoperative recurrence of bladder cancer. This paper explored the specific application strategies of rattan herbs in preventing and treating postoperative recurrence of bladder cancer. By integrating collateral disease theory with the formation and dysfunction of tumor neovascularization in modern medicine, four representative herb pairs, namely Tenghuang (
Mesua ferrea
) with Hongteng (
Basella alba
), Jixueteng (
Spatholobus suberectus
) with Leigongteng (
Hydrocotyle javanica
), Putaoteng (
Vitis vinifera
) with Luoshiteng (
Trachelospermum jasminoides
), Baiying (
Solanum lyratum
) with Tongguanteng (
Marsdenia tenacissima
), are discussed from four aspects, including inhibiting angiogenesis, promoting vascular structural normalization, preventing metastasis and colonization, and eliminating residual lesions, which provide a reference for traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of postoperative recurrence of bladder cancer.
