General Revision and Development Principle for Specification of Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation of Diseases and Syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine
(ZY/T 10-2024), the standard
Specification of Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation of Internal Medicine Diseases and Syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Part 1 Wheezing Disease
(ZY/T 1.1-2025) has been drafted and revised. This standard specifies the disease diagnosis, disease staging, differential diagnosis, syndrome differentiation and diagnosis, and therapeutic evaluation of wheezing disease. It defines the acute exacerbation stage, chronic persistent stage, and remission stage, and establishes the diagnostic criteria for syndromes by stages, including cold wheezing, heat wheezing, wind wheezing, phlegm wheezing, critical exhaustion-collapse wheezing, constraint wheezing, deficiency wheezing, as well as lung
qi
depletion, lung-spleen
qi
deficiency, and deficiency of both lung and kidney. A hierarchical therapeutic evaluation system comprising primary, secondary, and other indicators is established, covering asthma control rates, pulmonary function, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, and acute exacerbation status. This standard provides an industry basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of wheezing disease in both TCM and integrated medicine.
