17 Cases of chronic granulocytic leuke-mia had been treated with indigo pulveratalevis during Sept.1974——Jan.1977.Indigopulverata levis was available in three forms

crude preparation

extract and indigo red.One of them was used in each case duringintensive therapy and follow up period.Adjuvant short term chemotherapy was ad-ministered in 11 cases.Complete remission

partial remission and improvement werefound in 3

6 and 8 subjects respectively.By Oct.1979

out of the 17 cases

sevensurvivals and eight deaths could be recordedwhile in 2 cases

the contact was lost.Themean follow up time was 47.2 months.Themean survival time was 47.2 months andthe medium survival time was 46 months.The results suggest that the long term the-rapeutic effect of indigo pulverata levis issatisfactory.
