Abstract

Chiropractic（massage and pinch up theskin along the vertebral column from sacralregion to neck region）is a therapy in tra-ditional Chinese medicine.Children withdyspepsia

malnutrition or intestinal parasitesetc.were divided into chiropractic group andcontrol group

while xylose excretion wasused to evaluate the functional state of in-testinal absorption.After a course of twoweeks

children in chiropractic group showedsignificant improvement in clinical status aswell as in xylose excretion（P<0.001）

whereas

no significant change could be de-tected in control group（P>0.1）.
