Bax expression after treatment with ultramicro-powder of Rhizoma Gastrodiae.Results:（1）Ultramicro-powder of Rhizoma Gastrodiae could reduce the size of cerebral infarction.When the low

middle and high dose groups were compared with the ischemia group there were significant differences（P<0.05 or P<0.01）;（2）There were significant differences in the percentage of survival cells of the striatum of ischemic hemisphere in ultramicro-powder of Rhizoma Gastrodiae low

middle and high dose groups when compared with the ischemic group（P<0.01）;（3）There was a very significant difference in Bcl-2/Bax ratio between the ischemia group and the sham operation group（P<0.01）;and between the Rhizoma Gastrodiae ultramicro-powder low

middle and high dose groups compared and the ischemia group（P<0.01）.Conclusion:Ultramicro-powder of Rhizoma Gastrodiae has protective action on the nerve in the ischemia-reperfusion injury

which is possibly related with apoptosis-relative proteins Bcl-2 and Bax expression.
