Objective:To study on the correlativity of chronic gastritis of spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome with expression of nuclear transcription faetor-kB（NF-kB）and transforming growth factor-α（TGF-α）after infection of Hp（Heieobacter pylorum）.Methods: NF-kB and TGF-αin gastric antrum mucosa in the spleen-stomach damp-heat group

the spleen and stomaeh Qi-deficiency group and the normal control group were determined with immunohistochemical method.Results:The Hp infection rate of 72.73% in the spleen and stomach damp-heat group was significantly higher than 24% in spleen and stomach Qi-defieieney group（P< 0.01）;NF-kB and TGF-α on the basal portion of epithelium and glandular epithelium in gastric antrum mucosa showed weak expression in the normal control group

high expression in spleen and stomach damp-heat group with significant differences as compared with the spleen and stomach Qi-deficiency group and the normal control group（P<0.05 or P<0.01）.Conclusion:The patient with spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome has higher Hp infection rate and stronger expression of NF-kB and TGF-α compared with those in the patients with spleen and stomach Qi-deficiency and the normal control group.
