Objective:To explore the clinical effect of the method of strengthening the spleen and removing blood stasis on postoperative recurrence and metastasis of hepatice cancer.Methods:164 cases post-hepatectomy patients of hepatic cancer were collected from 1995~1999
and comparison between the groups of strengthening the spleen and removing blood stasis(treatment group) and the group of simple operation(control group) in survival rates and recurrent rate of 1
2
3
5 years
Child grading of hepatic function
and changes of indexes related to tumor was carried out. Results:The survival rate of 1
2
3
5 years was 82.93%
76.83%
63.41%
51.22% in treatment group
and 80.49%
71.95%
51.22%
39.02% in control group
respectively.The recurrent rate of 1
2
3
5 years was 74.39%
62.20%
41.46%
37.80% in treatment group
and 74.39%
58.54%
32.93%
28.05% in control group
respectively.The survival rates of 3
5 years
Child grading of hepatic function
and blood ICGR15 in treatment group were significantly superior to those in control group. Conclusion:The method of strengthening the spleen and removing blood stasis can increase long-term survival rate
improve function of residual liver and decrease blood AFU and TSGF levels
but does not have significant effect on short-term survival rate and recurrent rate.
