Objective To study the interventional mechanism of Qiangxinling for ventricular remodeling (VR) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods Totally 90 AMI patients were randomly divided into control group of 43 cases and treatment group of 47 cases. The conventional therapy such as distending coronary artery
raising blood flow of coronary artery and treating complication was conducted in control group
while Qiangxinling was added in the treatment group. The therapeutic effect
angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ)
amino-terminal propeptide of type Ⅲ procollagen (PⅢNP)
transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1)
superoxide dismutase (SOD)
left end-diastolic volume index (LEDVI)
left end-systolic volume index (LESVI)
left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)
wall motion score index (WMSI) and safety indexes in both groups were observed before and after 6 months’ treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was superior to that of control group (P<0.05). After treatment
AngⅡ
PⅢNP and TGF-β1 decreased
SOD increased
and LEDVI
LESVI
LVEF and WMSI improved obviously in both groups
especially in treatment group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Qiangxinling can treat VR after AMI.
