Objective To observe the effect of Tongmai Yangxin Pills（Pills for removing obstruction of meridians and nourishing the heart）on cardiomyocytes with anoxic injury and study its mechanism on oxidative stress and inflammation.Methods A cardiomyocyte primary culture technique was applied to establish the anoxic injury models.After 48-hour culture

the successfully cultured monolayer myocardial cells were divided into control group

anoxic injury group

and Tongmai Yangxin Pills group.The Tongmai Yangyin Pill group were given medicine-contained serum of 1g/kg

2g/kg

4g/kg and 8g/kg

with 9 samples in each group.Subsequently

SOD and GSH activity and MDA content were measured

and IL-6 and IL-1β concentration was measured.Results Compared with the anoxic injury group

all Tongmai Yangxin Pills groups could increase the SOD and GSH activity

and decrease the MDA content（P<0.01 or P<0.05）.The Tongmai Yangxin Pills 4g/kg group could decrease the cardiomyocyte inflammatory factors IL-6 and IL-1β concentration due to anoxic injury（P<0.05 or P<0.01）.Conclusion Tongmai Yangxin Pills functions to protect the cardiomyocytes from hypoxia injury.One of its mechanisms is anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation.
