Objective To observe the effect of Xueshuantong freeze-dried powder injection（Freeze-dried powder injection for eliminating thrombus） on the stroke patients accompanied with oedema of affected limb.Methods Ninety stroke patients accompanied with the oedema of the lower limb of the paralyzed side were collected and randomized into control group and treatment group with 45 in each.The control group received the conventional treatment

based on which

the treatment group received Xueshuantong freeze-dried powder injection 450mg diluted with normal saline or 5% glucose injection 250ml for intravenous injection

once everyday for 14 days.The clinical effect was judged by observing the relief of oedema of the affected limb.The movement functions of the affected limb were scored and hemodynamic determination was carried out.Results The effective rate of the treatment group and control group was 77.78% and 57.78% respectively

the difference between the two groups was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The scores of the synergic movement of flexors and extensors of both groups after treatment were relatively increased

the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）

and the score of the treatment group after treatment was higher than that of the control group（P<0.05）.The peak flow rate and average blood flow rate of the treatment group after treatment were significantly improved than those of before treatment（P<0.01）

compared with the control group after treatment

the difference was statistically significant（P<0.01）.Conclusion Xueshuantong freeze-dried powder injection could significantly increase the backflow speed of venous blood of the affected limb of stroke patients

improving the movement function and eliminating the oedema of the affected limb.
