Objective To research the syndrome characteristics of coronary heart disease(CHD)complicated by depression. Methods Based on previous studies
syndrome factors of 100case of CHD complicated by depression were analyed with crosssectional survey method in clinical epidemiology.According to the syndrome diagnosis
syndrome identification of CHD complicated by depression and its relation with disease characteristics and syndrome factors was analyzed. Results The syndrome characteristics of CHD complicated by depression was related to age
type of angina pectoris and concomitant diseases. The descending order of syndrome factors distribution was blood stasis
qi deficiency
kidney deficiency
liver depression
yin deficiency
phlegm turbidity
qi stagnation
yang deficiency
spleen deficiency
heat brewing and cold congealing. Most of the syndrome combination included four syndrome factors. Conclusion The syndrome combination is more complex in CHD complicated by depression as compared with simple CHD.Liver depression and kidney deficiency are common in CHD complicated by depression
which is relevant to the etiology and pathogenesis.
