Objective To observe the effect of spleen-fortifying kidney-supplementing medicinal on the sport endurance and immune function of athletes.Methods Fifty athletes were randomized into the experimental group and control group

with 25 in each.The same quantitative load training was carried out in both groups during the experiment.The experimental group and control group was given spleen-fortifying kidney-supplementing medicinal and placebo respectively

one dosage daily

twice orally.The levels of hemoglobin （H b）

blood lactic acid （L A）

blood urea nitrogen （B UN）

i nterleukin（ IL） -2

IL-6and immunoglobulin G （ IgG ） were observed in both groups before and after experiment.Results The levels of LA and BUN in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group after experiment （ P<0.05 ） .The level of Hb in the experiment group was significantly higher than that in the control group after experiment （ P<0.05 ） .The levels of IL-2

IL-6 and IgG in the experimental group were significantly increased after experiment

with a significant difference between groups （ P<0.05 ） .Conclusion Spleen-fortifying kidney-supplementing medicinal can improve the sport ability and enhance the immune function of athletes.
