Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of kidney-supplementing lung-clearing therapy on asthma of acute attack with heat sydnrome.Methods Totally 180 heat asthma patients with acute attack were randomized into treatment group and control group

with 90 in each.The control group was given Lung-Clearing Dampness-Percolating Decoction.The treatment group was added Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction orally.One dose of decoction was given daily and administrated for 9 days as one treatment course.The symptoms

EOS normalization rates and effective time after medication were observe before and after treatment.Results The rate of relieving asthma in the treatment group and control group was 86.67% and 75.56% respectively

with significant difference between groups（P<0.05）.The PEF

FEV1.0/FVC and MMEF75/25 were significantly improved in both groups（P<0.05）

especially in the treatment group（P<0.05）.The absolute EOS content was significantly decreased in both groups（P<0.05）

especially in the treatment group （P<0.05）.The EOS normalization rate in the treatment group was 89.87%

which was higher than 77.92% in the control group（P<0.05）.The effective time after medication in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group（P<0.05）.Conclusion The kidney-supplementing lung-clearing therapy is more effective for heat asthma with acute attack as compared with traditional lung-clearing therapy.
