Objective To observe the efficacy of Qiangshen Tablets combined with Longlu Capsules for polycystic ovary syndrome（ PCOS） patients with insulin resistance（ IR）. Methods Totally 124 PCOS patients with IR and kidney yang deficiency syndrome were randomized into the treatment group（ kidney yang warming and supplementing therapy） of 73 patients and control group（ Metformin therapy） of 51 patients. Conclusion TCM herbs can effectively relieve IR and improve ovulation in PCOS patients

with a same effect as compared with Metformin.
