Objective To research the immunity characteristics of patients with infectious diseases. Methods A prospective
multi-center
large sample and registration method was used. The serums of patients with infectious diseases were collected and the immunological parameters such as cyclic adenosine monophosphate( cAMP)
interleukin-1β( IL-1β)
interleukin-4( IL-4)
interleukin-6( IL-6)
interleukin-8( IL-8)
macrophage inflammatory protein 1β( MIP-1β)
prostaglandin E2( PGE2) and tumor necrosis factor-α( TNF-α) were detected. The primary disease
disease duration
fever situation and different characteristics of TCM syndromes were analyzed. Results Totally 2 445 patients with infectious diseases were collected and their immunological parameters were detected. There were significant differences between different body temperatures in the levels of IL-6
cAMP
PGE-2 and TNF-α( P <0.05 or P <0. 01). The levels of IL-6
cAMP
PGE-2 and TNF-α were slightly higher in the moderate heat group. There were significant differences between different primary diseases in the distribution of 7 immune parameters except PEG-2( P < 0. 01). The immune parameters were slightly higher in the pneumonia group. There was a significant difference between different disease duration in the IL-8 level( P < 0. 05). The IL-8 level was the highest in the1 st week of onset. The immune parameters were slightly higher in the wind pathogen group( P < 0. 01). Conclusion The immune parameters in patients with infectious diseases are often increased and with a certain relationship between body temperature
