Objective To observe the efficacy of Sanqi Jiaotai Pills combined with Lotensin for diabetic nephropathy（ DN）. Methods Sixty cases of DN were randomized into the treatment group and control group

with30 in each. Both groups were given conventional control of blood glucose

oral administration of 10 mg of Lotensin once daily and control of blood pressure. The treatment group was added with Sanqi Jiaotai Pills one dose daily. One treatment course lasted for 12 weeks. The levels of fasting blood glucose（ FBG）

postprandial blood glucose（ PBG）

hemoglobin A1c（ HbA1c）

total cholesterol（ TC）

triglyceride（ TG）

low density lipoprotein（ LDL）

urinary albumin excretion rate（ UAER） and homocysteine（ Hcy）were observed before and after treatment in both groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and control group were 76. 67% and 53. 33% respectively

all the indicators in the treatment group were significantly improved after treatment（ P < 0. 05）. Conclusion The combo therapy of Sanqi Jiaotai Pills and Lotensin is effective for DN. It can control blood sugar
