Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Heji( YQHXJDHJ) combined with western medicine in treating angina caused by diffuse coronary artery disease. Methods Sixty patients with angina caused by diffuse coronary artery disease were randomly divided into treatment group and control group
each with 30 cases. The treatment group received routine western medicine treatment along with YQHXJDHJ
100 ml each time
twice daily
while the control group received routine western medicine treatment along with Tongxinluo Capsules
4capsules each time
3 times a day. Treatment lasted for 4 weeks. Before and after treatments
the TCM syndrome scores
electrocardiogram( ECG)
left ventricular ejection fraction( LVEF) and adverse effects were observed to evaluate the efficacy of angina symptoms
ECG and TCM syndromes. Results On the efficacy of angina symptoms
the total effective rate of the treatment group and control group was 100% and 93. 33% respectively. On the efficacy of ECG
the total effective rate of the treatment group and control group was 86. 67% and 40. 00% respectively
while the efficacy of TCM syndromes of both groups was 100%. By Ridit analysis
the difference was statistically significant( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01)
which means the results in the treatment group were superior. As for LVEF
both groups showed significant improvement( P < 0. 05)
while that of the treatment group was better than the control group( P <0. 05). The TCM syndrome scores of both groups were reduced after treatments( P < 0. 05) and that of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion YQHXJDHJ combined with western medicine could improve the state of myocardial ischemia in patients with diffuse coronary artery disease and improve their heart function.
