ZHANG Zhongjing’s diagnosis and treatment theory on abdominal pain with Yangming Fu-viscera excess syndrome is systematic and hierarchical. Based on the Fu-viscera unblocking and stasis dredging method
the therapeutic prescriptions were modified according to the pain locations
disease features
major syndrome and other accompanying and altered syndromes. The hierarchies of diagnosing and treating abdominal pain with Yangming Fu-viscera excess syndrome were analyzed. How this hierarchical theory guided the diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis on different symptoms at different periods was discussed. A new opinion of "Fu-viscera unblocking and stasis dredging
medication discontinuing since recovery"in treating severe acute pancreatitis was put forward
which meant that "Fu-viscera unblocking and stasis dredging"would be not limited to the starting effect period as "once adequate diarrhea appears
stop medication"said
but during the whole severe acute pancreatitis treating process.
