Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Telbivudine tablets combined with Dangfei Liganning Capsule in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B patients with HBe Ag positive. Methods Totally 60 cases of chronic hepatitis B with HBe Ag positive were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group

with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were given Telbivudine Tablets orally

600 mg each time

once daily. The treatment group was added with Dangfei Liganning Capsule orally

1.0g each time

once daily. Changes in DNA HBV quantification

liver function index [including total bilirubin（ TBiL）

alanine amino transferase（ ALT）

and aspartate aminotransferase（ AST） ]

hepatic fibrosis index [including serum hyaluronic acid（ HA）

laminin（ LN）

type III collagen（ PC-Ⅲ）

and type Ⅳ collagen（ CL-Ⅳ） ]and transient liver elasticity were observed in both groups before and 12 weeks and 24 weeks after treatment. Results DNA HBV quantification

and CL-Ⅳ were decreased in both groups 12 weeks and 24 weeks after treatment（ P<0. 05）. Comparison between 24 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment showed DNA HBV quantification

and CL-Ⅳ in both groups also decreased significantly 24 weeks after treatment compared with those 12 weeks after treatment（ P<0. 05）. There were no significant differences in DNA HBV quantitative and liver function index between the two groups（ P>0. 05）. The transient liver elasticity and levels of HA

and CL-Ⅳ were significantly decreased in the treatment group compared with those in the control group 12 and 24 weeks after treatment（ P<0. 05）. Conclusion In the treatment of chronic hepatitis B patients with HBe Ag positive

telbivudine tablets combined with Dangfei Liganning Capsule can not only effectively improve the liver function and control HBV DNA level

but also significantly improve liver fibrosis and liver transient elasticity

so that to delay the progress of the disease.
