Objective To observe the clinical curative effects of nourishing yin-reinforcing kidney-supplying emission methods in the treatment of premature ovarian failure. Methods Thirty-five cases of premature ovarian failure were randomly divided into a treatment group with 20 cases and a control group with 15 cases. The treatment group was given nourishing yin-reinforcing kidney-supplying emission herbs orally
one dose per day. and Human Placenta Tablets 0. 75 g each time
twice per day; The control group adopted hormone replacement therapy. Clinical curative effects and condition of clinical symptoms( including soreness and weakness of waist and knees
amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea
tidal fever and sweatiness
insomnia and dreaminess
vaginal dryness) were observed in two groups after being continuously treated for 3 months
. Levels of sex hormone [including follicle-stimulating hormone( FSH)
luteinizing hormone( LH) and estradiol( E
2
) ] of patients in two groups were examined before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of clinical curative effects was 90. 0% in the treatment group
and 46. 7% in the control group. The clinical curative effects in the treatment group was remarkably superior to that in the control group( P
<
0. 05). The improvement of symptoms such as soreness and weakness of waist and knees
amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea
insomnia and dreaminess in the treatment group was remarkably superior to that in the control group( P
<
0. 05). Levels of FSH and LH remarkably decreased
while E
2
level remarkably increased in the treatment group after treatment compared with those before treatment( P
<
0. 05); There was no significant difference in levels of FSH
LH and E
2
in control group between before and after treatment( P
>
0. 05) The difference value of FSH and E
2
levels in the treatment group before and after treatment was larger than that in the control group( P
<
0. 05). Conclusion Nourishing yin-reinforcing kidney-supplying emission methods for patients with premature ovarian failure could effectively improve clinical symptoms and sex hormone level. Its clinical effects are superior to that of hormone replacement therapy.
