Syndromes summarize the whole reaction condition about pathological and physiological changes at a certain stage of disease. A complete diagnosis of syndrome usually includes two parts
the element of disease location and the element of disease nature. The diagnostic basis of the syndrome element is a constituent part of a group of symptoms
namely clinical features of symptoms. By establishing database about pathogenesises of Chinese medical symptoms
through analysing and selecting
the researchers found clinical features of specific symptoms of blood stasis including( menstruation and lochia) blood clots
( complexion
lip
tongue nature
nail bed
menstruation and lochia)dark purple
( skin and tongue nature) ecchymosis
( abdomen and forehead) prominent veins
( skin) red collaterals like gossamer
( head
chest
flank
gastral cavity and abdomen) stabbing pain
( head and chest) fixed pain
and( pain in chest
flank
gastral cavity and abdomen) exacerbation at night. In clinical practice
any one of clinical features of above 8 symptoms can directly identify the element of disease nature about blood stasis.
