Take chronic pulmonary disease as the research object. Combined with the previous research results of assembling-separating theory and micro mass in lung collaterals theory

by discussing the connotation of "toxicity"and "lung collaterals"in Chinese medicine

the authors put forward that chronic pulmonary disease could be caused by exogenous toxicity

as well as endogenous toxicity and get aggravated. The core pathogenesis is lung collaterals injury by toxicity and stagnation of collaterals. The pathogenesis hypothesis of "lung collaterals injury by toxicity"is established and based on this

corresponding treatment is further proposed.
