This article is to introduce Professor LU Zhizheng’s clinical experience in treating ankylosing spondylitis. dredge collaterals and treat the manifestation. Both the manifestation and the root are treated. Both deficiency and excess are considered. Invigorating but without stagnating. Moistening and dispelling methods are both used. Spleen and stomach are protected all through the treatment. Prof. Lu’ s treatment methods are generally thorough.
