In resent researches relating to Chinese medicine treatment
as patients who seek Chinese medicine therapies mostly have selective preferences for interventions
traditional randomization may bring ethical challenges on this aspect. The authors put forward a modified randomized clinical trial design method which considers patients’ preferences. The article introduces the methodology principle of the method and compares this method with traditional randomized clinical trials. By analyzing the application status of modified clinical trials considered patients’ preferences
the authors propose the feasibility
advantages and notice of this design plan adopted in evaluation of Chinese medicine non-drug therapy. According to the characteristics of this research mode
the authors hold that some randomized clinical trials considered patients’ preferences could be applied in clinical studies of Chinese medicine non-drug therapy
especially in studies on subjects who have clear requirements on interventions.
