Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of Anti-smog Mixture（ 抗霾合剂） in treating smog-induced cough. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with smog-induced cough were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group

with 60 cases in each group. The treatment group was given with Anti-smog Mixture one dose per day. The control group was orally given with eucalyptol-limonene-pinene enteric soft capsule

with 0. 3 g each time

four times per day. Both groups were treated for 7 days. The researcher compared the scores of cough

phlegm and pharyngeal diseases and the total score before treatment with those of post-treatment

and evaluated the clinical effect and safety. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93. 3%

which was significantly higher than 73. 3% of the control group（ P < 0. 01）. After treatment

the scores of cough

phlegm and pharyngeal diseases and the total score were significantly decreased（ P < 0. 01）. After treatment

the scores of cough

phlegm and the total score were significantly decreased（ P < 0. 01）. The score of pharyngeal diseases and the total score in the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group（ P < 0. 01）. There was no obvious adverse effect in both groups. Conclusion Anti-smog Mixture has definite effect in treating smog-induced cough. It could significantly improve cough

phlegm and pharyngeal symptoms

with good safety.
