Objective To observe clinical efficacy and safety treated by Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction（ 香砂六君子汤） combined with quadruple therapy in patients with peptic ulcer of spleen and stomach deficiency type caused by helicobacter pylori（ Hp） infection. Methods Randomly divided 96 patients with peptic ulcer into control group and treatment group

with 48 cases each. The control group was treated by western medicine standard quadruple therapy: bismuth potassium citrate capsules

220 mg each time

2 times per day; omeprazole enteric-coated capsules

20 mg each time

1 time per day; amoxicillin capsules

1. 0 g each time

2 times per day; clarithromycin sustained release tablets 500 mg each time

2 times per day

all of the above drugs were taken orally

14 days later

stop using other drugs except omeprazole enteric-coated capsules continued to take 4 weeks. In addition to the intervention for the control group

the treatment group was also given Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction

with one dose per day for 6 weeks.After the treatment

the researchers evaluated the healing quality of the ulcers

monitored the Hp eradication rate and epidermal growth factor（ EGF） in two groups

calculated the Chinese medicine syndrome score

and observed the clinical curative effect

as well as the adverse reaction. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group were respectively 95. 8% and 89. 6%. There was no statistical differences between the two groups（ P > 0. 05）. The eradication rate of Hp in the treatment group was 91. 7%

Conclusion The efficacy of Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction combined with quadruple therapy in the treatment of peptic ulcer of spleen and stomach deficiency type caused by Hp infection is equivalent to simple quadruple therapy
