Objective To observe the effect of Immune No. 2 Granule on immune reconstitution of AIDS patients with immune reconstitution deficiency after highly active antiretroviral therapy（ HAART）. Methods Randomly divided 361 AIDS patients with immune reconstitution deficiency after HAART into treatment group（ 189 cases） and control group（ 172 cases）. Respectively used Immune No. 2 Granule + HAART for the treatment group and Immune No. 2 granule simulation + HAART for the control group

both treated for 72 weeks. Examined absolute counts of CD4+、CD45RA、CD45RO lymphocytes of patients in both groups before treatment and 12

CD4+lymphocytes counts of patients in both groups all increased compared with that before treatment（ P < 0. 05）

with the treatment group remarkably higher than the control group at the 72 th week after treatment（ P < 0. 05）. With treating cycle extension

CD45 RA and CD45 RO lymphocytes counts of patients in both groups all showed rising trend（ P < 0. 05）; rising of CD45 RA lymphocytes counts in the treatment group was more remarkable at the 72 th week after treatment（ P < 0. 05）. There was no statistic significance in the difference of CD45 RO lymphocytes counts between two groups（ P > 0. 05）. Conclusion Immune No. 2Granule could increase number of CD4+lymphocytes of AIDS patients with immune reconstitution deficiency after HAART and could improve body immunity.
