"Qi reaching affected area"has been considered as the theoretical principle for getting acupuncture effect
however
if this theory is indiscriminately used in aponeurotic channel acupuncture
the effect is suboptimal. Human body is an organic entity organized in certain hierarchical structure
so the acupuncture levels also vary. When treating diseases
the physicians should follow this principle: first determining the level of the affected area
and then puncturing the needle to the according area. "Qi reaching affected area"is suitable for channel acupuncture. The diseases in aponeurotic channel primarily locate in "transverse collaterals"
and the therapeutic method is "dispersing mass". "Dispersing mass"is a therapeutic principle in "acupuncture reaching affected area"theory. There is a closer relationship between aponeurotic channel acupuncture and "Acupuncture Reaching Affected Area"theory.
