Objective To explore the potential mechanism of Jiedu Sanjie Fang（ 解毒散结方） in treating lung cancer.Methods Lung adenocarcinoma A549 cell lines were treated with aqueous extract of Jiedu Sanjie Fang in different concentration（ 10

respectively） for 48 hours.Then Mosmann Tetrazolium Test（ MTT） was used to detect the effect on proliferation

and median inhibitory concentration（ IC50） was calculated.Then A549 cell line was intervened with Jiedu Sanjie Fang in those concentrations that have smaller effects on proliferation.The apoptosis was detected with Hoechst fluorescent staining

the migration ability was detected with scoring test

the invasion ability was detected with Transwell chamber

and the adhesion ability was detected with adhesion test.Results The survival rates in the groups given by aqueous extract of Jiedu Sanjie Fang in different concentrations（ 10

or 200 μg / ml） were significantly lower than that in the control group（ P <0.01）

and the IC50 was 25.37 μg / ml.These groups also had higher apoptosis rates

lower migration rates

smaller numbers of penetrating cells and smaller numbers of adhering cells（ P < 0.05 or P < 0.01）.Also

as the concentrations increase

the function became more obvious.Conclusion The aqueous extraction of Jiedu Sanjie Fang could inhibit the proliferation

adhesion and migration of lung cancer A549 cell

as well as inducing the apoptosis.The function seems to be does-dependent.
